Tutor (One-on-One)

Part-time $40/hour
📍 Southern New Hampshire (in-person or remote)

Mrs. Leger's Littles is seeking a self-motivated, compassionate, and patient one-on-one tutor to provide individualized educational support for families throughout the southern New Hampshire area. You'll work with students from public schools, private schools, and homeschooling environments, creating engaging, individualized learning experiences that adapt to each student's unique needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Create and deliver individualized lessons tailored to each student's academic needs and learning style
  • Assess student abilities through formal and informal methods to identify needs and monitor progress
  • Maintain regular communication with parents about student progress, accomplishments, and areas for growth
  • Communicate with Mrs. Leger regarding student progress and instructional planning
  • Answer parent questions and address concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Adapt instructional strategies and materials to support student success
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and supportive learning environment during every session

Requirements

  • Current teaching license
  • Strong background in elementary education and/or early childhood education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent communication with families and Mrs. Leger
  • Compassionate, patient, self-motivated, and organized

Preferred

  • Training in the Orton-Gillingham method of teaching reading

Schedule: Flexible hours, arranged based on tutor availability and student needs
